National Public Radio (NPR) published an informative article last year in regards to the hazards of lead dust at firing ranges. In the high-speed photograph above, you can see the cloud of tiny lead particles trailing the bullet as it exits the barrel of the gun. It is an eye-opening look at the moment a gun fires and especially the lead fumes which normally aren’t seen by the naked eye. BE SAFE at firing ranges! Make sure the range is correctly ventilated. While at the range, wash hands & face before eating, drinking, or smoking. Wash hands & face again before leaving the range.
